La Mota is benefiting from major government investment which has turned it into a top-notch tourist destination. Don't miss the recently renovated church, la Iglesia Abacial. Inside the church there is a dramatic film presentation of the history of the fortress, which will move you even if you don't understand a word of Spanish.
Children and adults alike will enjoy wandering around the labyrinth of building foundations, climbing the towers and walking along the walls of the fortress to take in the stunning views of Alcalá la Real and the surrounding countryside. |
